Fresh back from the half term holidays, some of our Key Stage Two children were getting their creative ideas flowing in writing workshops with our ‘Author in Residence’ Heather Butler last week. She worked each afternoon with groups of children from across KS2 on producing poetry for the little books you can see in the picture. They worked hard on vocabulary choices and practised using a thesaurus to select synonyms to improve their work. The Year 6 group who came to see me in my office were incredibly proud of what they had produced and rightly so. Well done to all pupils involved in the project and our thanks, as ever, to Heather for her enthusiasm.
